Why I Started the Linen & Sash Soap Club

There’s something strangely satisfying about opening a brand-new bar of soap.

The crisp edges. The scent when you first unwrap it. The little decision of which bar gets the spot by the sink or in the shower.

It’s a very ordinary thing—but I think ordinary things can be beautiful.

That’s part of why I created the Linen & Sash Soap Club.

A Little Something to Look Forward To

I love the idea of having something small arrive in the mail that you didn’t have to think about.

Soap Has a Story

One of my favorite things about making and selling soap is realizing just how much history is wrapped up in something we use every day.

Soap has been made for centuries, across cultures and continents, using local oils, plants, clays, salts, and traditional methods.

That history has become part of the fun of Soap Club.

I want it to feel a little like traveling through soap—discovering beautiful ingredients, old traditions, interesting places, and bars you may never have picked out for yourself.
